Calcium Charging
Batteries that contain calcium in the battery plates require special charging when deeply discharged or after extensive use. Using traditional chargers on these batteries causes acid stratification in the electrolyte, resulting in a low specific gravity reading despite
showing fully charged. The MC121045C incorporates an additional charging mode to remove the stratification and return the battery to full service.

Recovery Plus - Revives Heavily Sulphated Batteries
With the use of Recovery Plus technology, heavily sulphated batteries receive a high voltage charge prior to the 4 stage charge process. The high voltage charge helps to extend a battery's regular service life. |
Superior 4 Stage Charging
An MCU (Micro Control Unit) chip provides c'Logix charging that delivers a 4 stage charge specifically for calcium batteries. The first stage, bulk (constant current), quickly charges the battery while the second stage, absorption (constant voltage), ensures that the battery is thoroughly charged. The third stage delivers a controlled charge to remove any acid stratification and returns a full hydrometer reading. The final stage, float, maintains the battery at a safe voltage allowing it to be maintained and ready for use indefinitely.
