FIXED SOLAR PANELS
Polycrystalline solar panels are manufactured from a solar cell that is cast from silicon. These cells are more efficient at producing power than an amorphous panel, so the size of the panel is smaller yet capable of producing more power. They are ideal for fixed installation to caravans, motor homes, and house boats etc where power is required to charge battery banks that service multiple appliances.
Utilising super efficent monocrystalline technology, these kits are ideal for those looking for the convenience of portable power. Both the 120W and 160W kits are ready to use straight out of the bag. Featuring 5 metres of cable, supplied battery clamps, support legs and in-built 4 stage solar controller to ensure optimum battery maintenance, they offer ample power to charge batteries used for powering all your 12V accessories.
SOFT FOLDING KITS
Monocrystalline solar panel kits feature a frameless design that folds up into a convenient compact bag. Lightweight in design, the panels are housed in durable canvas making them travel-safe and easy to pack into your boot or trailer. A hard fibreglass backing allows the panels to be angled towards the sun for optimum performance. Includes support legs, built-in solar controller and 5m lead with battery clips.
Solar panels capture the sunlight converting it into useable electric power, however without a solar controller to regulate this power it will ultimately damage your battery through excessive charge and even discharge at night. Projecta offers an extensive range of automatic solar charge controllers to suite a wide range of solar applications, all with varying amperage ratings. Each of the controllers can be left connected indefinitely to the battery keeping it fully charged, monitoring its condition and performing a process called ‘float’ charge to keep the battery in optimum condition, ultimately ensuring longer life.
