POWER BANKS

A Power Bank is essentially a small battery in a special case that stores electrical energy for use whenever you may need it. They can directly power your USB/USB-C devices or be used to recharge or top-up their inbuilt battery. As with any battery storage system, the greater the capacity, the more recharges and the run time it can support.

Projecta’s PB5 and PB10 Power Banks deliver 5000mAh and 10,000mAh respectively, and both have a maximum output of 18W. With their small, yet powerful Lithium-ion battery, they’re compact enough to fit discreetly in your pocket, while only weighing 101 grams (PB5) and 190 grams (PB10).

Their Fast Charge design makes them capable of recharging an iPhone to 80% in around one hour. The PB5 will does this up to two times, while the PB10 with do so up to four times. Alternatively, they can provide a MacBook or equivalent laptop up to an extra 50 minutes (PB5) to 100 minutes (PB10) of runtime. Power Packs are recharged the same way you would your phone or laptop – i.e. via a wall socket charger, vehicle’s power outlet, or large, fixed solar panel.

While they could do so for a short period in a pinch, the COMPAC series is not intended to run your fridge, camp lighting, or television. For continuous running of these you need to look at fixed solar panels and matching bulk storage devices.
